'LanternPaperco started with an ambitious goal: to introduce true Neapolitan pizza to London. Established by the Romano family in 1985, our pizza shop was originally a quaint, family-owned venture that celebrated recipes passed along for generations.

Marco Romano, our pioneer, honed her pizza crafting skills during her time spent across Italy, learning from revered pizzaiolos in Naples, the acclaimed home of pizza. Returning to the UK, she aspired to emulate the essence of classic Italian pizza, sticking to original cooking techniques and the best ingredients available.

From its inception as a humble 12-seat eatery, it has flourished into a cherished community staple, while our devotion to quality and genuineness has remained constant. We continue using traditional wood-burning oven methods, prepare our dough freshly every day, and insist on using premium quality ingredients.

Today, 'LanternPaperco' is still run by the Romano lineage, with a new generation guiding our enthusiastic crew. While we’ve adopted some contemporary practices, we stay true to our core: delivering scrumptious, genuine pizza that unites folks far and wide.
